I remember meeting up with Fleming and Chris while they were visiting Greenville for the week to plan their wedding. They were down from DC and I just casually mentioned how awesome it would be to do their engagement photos up there later this year. We had a wedding booked in early August and would be up there for a few days for that. Hopefully I could have a few free hours to break away and get to shoot in some of the incredible backdrops Washington DC provides. It was a long shot.
And it worked out beautifully. We started at the National Arboretum to shoot in their azalea garden and the famous national columns before heading over to the main attraction, the Jefferson Memorial. The Jefferson Memorial was one of the only monuments I hadn’t gotten to see up close before, and wow was it incredible. Solid marble with beautiful detailing and of course those epic columns. I couldn’t have asked for a better couple to photograph at this epic location. Chris actually proposed to Fleming right on those very stairs, so it was especially fitting for them. They also looked the part with Fleming in a gorgeous formal dress and Chris in a tasteful suit jacket and pants. Definitely an amazing shoot I won’t ever forget!
Thanks again guys! Can’t wait for the wedding next year!!
