No matter just how many times I shoot there, I don’t think I’ll ever get over just how awesome the view at Pretty Place Chapel is. Seriously, it’s that good. And for Sarah and Nick’s wedding it was one of the best days I’ve seen it. Being up high in the mountains, you always run the risk that some low flying clouds will block the view. And for much of the day, that happened. But just before the ceremony was going to happen, the sun peeked out and the view was perfection. After a beautiful ceremony everyone headed to Twigs (another one of my favorites!) for the reception. Plenty of great dancing, emotional speeches, and some pretty awesome “shenanigans” filled the rest of the night.

Airport Engagement Session | Sarah + Sam

Every once in awhile I get the chance to shoot somewhere meaningful to the couple. When Sarah and Sam mentioned that they were both Pilots and that they had access to shoot at the downtown Greenville airport, I got pretty excited. What a perfect idea for their engagement session! And it gets better, it turns out that the first plane they flew together was also parked not too far away. Throw in a gorgeous sky, plenty of cool props and it’s hard to get any better!

Westin Poinsett Palmetto Room Wedding | Kayla + Matthew

As Debra, myself, the Bride and Groom, and the entire bridal party ran for shelter to hide ourselves from the quickly intensifying rain, I thought to myself… there’s a first time for every thing. While not exactly ideal, it pushed us inside to finish up, which wasn’t such a bad thing since the Westin Poinsett is one of my favorite indoor spots to shoot in. Plenty of excellent dancing and food allowed the weather to pass just long enough for us to head up to the roof of the westin for a couple night photos, and have an awesome sparkler exit.

Jewish Wedding Photography | Greenville SC Hyatt Recency

The glass was laying on the floor, the vows had been said, the bride veiled, the blessings given, the rings exchanged, the Katuba signed, all that was left was a stomp and a loud “Mazel Tov!” And then it happened. You see this wasn’t your typical wedding. This was a traditional Jewish Orthodox wedding. And it was an absolute blast.

Held at the beautiful Hyatt Recency in the heart of downtown Greenville, South Carolina, the day was an amazing mix of traditions, un-traditions, family, friends, and of course plenty of great drinks and dancing. And man can these guys dance. If you’ve ever been to a Jewish wedding before, you know what I’m talking about. The kind where everyone and their grandma gets up, holds hands and dances circles around the bride and groom. Then the bride and groom get up on chairs. Although the groom didn’t last long up there this time, it was still an amazing sight and a blast to capture. I’ll let the photos tell the rest.
