Maggie is probably one of the sweetest girls I’ve had the privilege to shoot in a long time. Not only is she super sweet but she could also double as a model. Take that and add in an awesome wedding dress, stunning bridal details, and set it all against the beautiful rooms of the Poinsett Club in Downtown Greenville and you’ve got one heck of a bridal portrait shoot! Sheer classic beauty!
Ah… summer weddings. The warm long sunsets, the summer sun, when air conditioning feels just like heaven, and when a glass of cold water is worth its weight in gold.
You know its hot when people from Arizona sweat. And that’s just what Shannon and Bryan (and I, and everyone else) did! But just like happy tears, this was happy sweat, because Shannon and Bryan came all the way out to South Carolina to have their wedding.
They chose to have their beautiful summer wedding at Furman Chapel with their reception following at the Wyche Pavilion. With the impeccable details from the awesome team over at B&R Events, to the cornhole games setup in the corner, to the rockin’ tunes of The Mighty Kicks, it was a perfect summer day to celebrate the love that Shannon and Bryan have for each other. Check it out!
Thanks so much for having us guys! We had a blast!

You know what’s interesting? How in six years of documenting weddings I’ve never came across a “normal” family. You know one where all the uncles are well behaved, one where everyone always gets along, one where the kids actually listen. And you know what, I don’t think I ever want to shoot a wedding where the family is “normal”. It would just be boring.
Well Amanda and Kyle definitely have some interesting family dynamics. I don’t think its possible not to when you take a mixture of New Yorker’s, native southerner’s, and throw in some Floridians just for fun. I had a similar mix at my wedding and I can tell you its a lot of fun to watch the people from Brooklyn mingle with people from Pickens.
Amanda and Kyle were married this past weekend at the always beautiful Westin Poinsett in Downtown Greenville. Now I’ve shot a lot of receptions at the Westin, but never a ceremony so I was interested in seeing how it would work. Short Story: Incredible. Thanks to the pretty amazing design team over at Pam Rowland, I don’t think I’ve seen the Gold Ballroom look that good before. Seriously, I could try to describe it with words, but that just wouldn’t do it justice (good thing I’m a photographer!). All the details set a beautiful stage for an emotional day surrounded by some very loving family members. Thanks for having me Amanda and Kyle!
A big thanks to all the Vendors who helped make this day amazing!

Remember traveling to Florida as a kid? The trips to Disney World. The beach? The palm trees? The warm weather? …The humidity? Those were the good days! Well thanks to Kat and Paul I got to relive a little bit of that. Not the disney part, or the beach, but pretty much everything else.
I met Kat way back when she was a bridesmaid at Alexa’s wedding several years ago so I’ve had Kat and Paul’s wedding in Gainesville, FL to look forward to for a long time. And I’m happy to say it didn’t disappoint. Kat and Paul really bring out the best in each other. From their beautiful ceremony at 1st Presbyterian Church, to their wedding reception at Jolie Events in downtown Gainesville, it was a pretty epic day. Thanks again for having me guys I had a blast!
